Jenna Bush Hager welcomed their second daughter on Thursday, Aug. 13 who weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. This is her second daughter with husband Henry Hager. She is named Poppy Louise Hager, “Poppy” being President George H.W. Bush’s childhood nickname. She was born in New York City at 9:12 a.m and measuring 20.5 inches.

The new bundle of joy is named after Jenna’s grandfather and former President George H.W. Bush, whose nickname growing up was “Poppy.”

“We are thrilled to announce the birth of our darling daughter,” the couple said in a statement.

Henry said “We are proud to name her after a man we so adore.” “Jenna was fantastic throughout, and Mila can’t stop talking about her ‘baby sissy.”

Jenna Bush Hager is an American teacher, author and journalist. She is the younger of the fraternal twin daughters of the 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, and a granddaughter of the 41st U.S. President George H. W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush.
