The Social Security Administration released the most popular baby names of 2020. Olivia and Liam are the two most popular baby names in America for the second year in a row. SSA released its annual list of top baby names on Friday, May 2020.

For the second year in a row, they’re the most popular baby names in America. That’s according to a new report from the Social Security Administration on the most popular baby names used in 2020. Olivia and Liam are once again America’s most popular baby names in 2020.

Liam has reigned since 2017, when it took over the top spot from Noah. Noah now sits at second on the list. Olivia has been the most-used girl name since 2019, when it ousted Emma from the top of the list.

The name Henry has been steadily rising in popularity, last appearing in the Top 10 over a century ago, in 1910. New in 2020: Henry and Alexander entered the top 10, displacing Mason and Ethan.

The report also revealed the top fastest-rising names last year. Zyair was the fastest-growing name for boys. Avayah topped the list for girls.
