Vishakha Nakshatra (20-00 Libra to 3-20? Scorpio) is taken as the sixteenth nakshatra among the 27 nakshatras. Vishakha means "two-branched" or a branch dividing into two parts. Its deity is Indra( the God of transformation) and Agni (the God of Fire). Its symbols are a large tree with spreading branches giving protection to others, potters wheel, a decorated gateway used for marriage ceremonies. Its ruling planet is Jupiter and animal symbol is Male Tiger.
